Based at Virginia Tech, this project is described as "an initiative to improve graduate education, increase sharing of knowledge, help universities build their information infrastructure and extend the value of digital libraries". Links to searchable indexes of collections of digital dissertations within participating universities and national libraries are provided. Members currently include European, American and Asian universities plus such coalitions as Dissertationen Online (a German national project) and the UK- based University Theses On-line Group.

Data retrieved: searchable index of dissertations (primarily North American) submitted in the last 2 years. The Website also offers an online order facility for all dissertations available from Bell and Howell. As you will be charged directly for this service, you must submit your credit card details must be over the Web. Please note that, in many cases, the Library's Interlibrary Loan service may prove the cheaper option.
