Governor of the Punjab and Chancellor of the University of the Punjab Lt. Gen Khalid Maqbool inaugurate اتاق ایرانشناسی "Iranian Study Centre" , Oriental languages OPACs and Manuscript Displays developed in Punjab University Library, Quaid-e-Azam Campus, Lahore on 7th February 2008 11 a.m.
During his visit to library he appreciated the working and development in the Punjab University Library. It was a huge ceremony which was given a full coverage by various media and TV channels. He took interest in Digital Library resources provided by the library and appreciated the efforts of the Chief Librarian and the University Administration to uplift the Research and Education.
